Today’s Verses:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6

My future is in your hands. Psalms 31:15a

Devotional:

You have made it to day 20, let’s get to the finish line and finish well. Also, you are just getting started. When Jesus fasted for 40 days, that was at the beginning of His ministry. Now, it’s time to get moving and continue to dive into the word. I challenge you to keep going, keep reading, keep praying, keep studying the Bible. What if you didn’t get your answer during the fast? God’s timing rarely sinks with our own time. We have to trust God’s timing over our own. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Psalms 31:15a My future is in your hands. During the fast, we gave up our own time and we said, God our time is in your hands. Let’s continue to trust God with our time. Keep the fire burning, be ready. 1 Thess. 5:16-18 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Will you keep praying? During this fast, you have grown, you have got some joy from the Lord. God has a plan and a purpose for you.

Questions:

  1. What if you didn’t get your answer during the fast?
  2. Will you keep praying?
  3. Do you believe God has a plan and a purpose for your life?

Prayer:

Lord, the fast is almost done but I can feel you calling me to continued devotion. You have changed me during these last 20 days, I’ll never be the same. Help me not forget what you have done and help me continue to pursue you and be hungry and thirsty for righeousness.
