Devotional: 

Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” When we are young, we have an idea of what our life is going to look like. We have dreams for our future. As we grow older we take college classes towards our career, go to a school, or set ourselves up to have success in our field. All throughout our life, the Lord is directing our steps. The Lord is leading us to where He wants us to be. We may take a wrong turn here or there, but as we seek God, he is there to correct, and get us back on track. Let the Lord see the desire of your heart as you walk through life. As you plan, we need to take the first steps, but God will direct our path and guide us to what He sees, and also where He wants us to go. Matthew 7:7, “7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Plan, walk, seek, ask, and most of all, pray that the Lord will guide you in the direction that He wants you to go, and He will direct your steps. Are you planning? Are you seeking? Are you praying?

Prayer:

God, I am planning and seeking and praying right now. I am asking you to intervene in this situation and help me. I need your help right now. I know your timing is perfect but God I am asking you to come to my rescue quickly and provide for me. I am asking you to direct my steps and help me.
