Today’s Verses:

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:16-18

Devotional:

Matthew 6:16-18 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” What a great promise this is for us today! Don’t miss the point of prayer and fasting…the prayer part. We need to set ourselves apart during this fast…if you skip a meal then use that time to pray, worship, read scriptures. You will feel your relationship with Jesus grow as you set aside time to meet with God. Your Father in heaven, who sees everything, will reward you. Find creative ways to be with God and He will speak to you.

Questions:
