Today’s Verses:

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2

Devotional:

We are on a journey of fasting and praying. We want to see God move and answer from heaven. We want God to do things in our personal life. There is something that the Spirit of God does on the inside of you during prayer and fasting…humility. Being humble is stepping aside and letting Jesus be front and center. We are putting aside dead works. Let’s stumble upon humility during these 21 days. Fasting gets you out of the way and lets Jesus become King. When you press into God, something begins to go deeper in your heart and spirit.

Questions:

  1. Why does God want you humble?
  2. What kind of spirit do you want to take on during this fast?

Prayer:

Make me humble like you are humble Jesus. Put your yoke upon me, a yoke of humility. I ask you to help me and restore me to be the kind of person you want me to be. I seek to be a better Christian today. Amen.
