What Have You Lost Along The Way?
I was reading in 2 Chron. 5:10 where it says, "There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb."
What happened to the manna and Aaron's rod that budded? Both those items were in the ark with the two tables of stone. They were lost or misplaced.
The manna represented the provision of God in the wilderness. It represented every word that proceeded from the mouth of God. The Israelites lost that sense of living on a fresh Word from the Lord.
The rod that budded represented the true calling of God which leads to supernatural fruitfulness. That was no longer in the ark of the covenant.
What have you lost along the way? Have you lost your hunger for God? Have you lost your calling? Has your fruitfulness vanished? Have you lost a heart for souls? Have you lost a desire for God's Word or worship?
The Bible is filled with exhortations to "REMEMBER" the Lord, His faithfulness, His Word, and His promises. Have you forgotten certain things that you once held dear?
Why don't you take inventory of your life? Look into your chest (ark) and see what is missing. Recapture what is lost.
Blessings, Pastor Tim

How else can you stay on the
How else can you stay on the right path without the Word of God in your daily life? One of my favorite scriptures, Prov.3:5-6, is my daily exercise I need to repeat, so I don't lean on my own understanding, and to make the right decisions, I need to acknowledge Him in all my ways, so that I can stay on the path He wants me on. The Hebrew word for acknowledge is yada, which is translated to know by observation, investigation, reflection, and on a higher level, to have direct initmate contact. How else can you achieve this than by reading, studying His Word, prayer, and worship. If you don't keep this up, yes things can grow cold, get stale, but it takes discipline, determination, desire, to keep the lamps lit.
The Principle of the Path is such a good piece of advice, because our daily life is bombarded with so much detail, distraction, conflict, there is a huge need to keep the focus on Him.
I was recently reading an article on Ford Motor's CEO, Alan Mulally, on how he got Ford Motor turned around, he laminated the corporate vision on a card for the employees, the vision is known as "One Ford", along with a summary of the highpoints of the vision, so the employees could keep that vision before them daily, to review and make decisions according to that vision. The feedback of management has been tremendous since there has been a better morale, understanding as to where they were headed, the ease of making decsions, and the unity it has created in the company. The results: Ford is making a huge comeback.
I can't help but think if the body of Christ could do this in a way, which God has outlined before us, in various scriptures, where there is a "singleness of heart" (2 Chron. 30:12) "with one accord" (Joshua 9:2, Acts 1:14, 2:1, 4:24, 5:12, 8:6, 18:12), "unity" (Phil. 2:1-3, Eph. 4 ) we could do so much more, just by plugging in our chargers daily to His Word, how much greater the body would be. Maybe we need to carry around a laminated card that states "Jesus is Lord", what do you think?
