Teen Dating
Here are my thoughts on teen dating.
I think teenagers should begin dating no earlier that 16 years of age. Studies have shown teenagers that begin dating prior to 16 years of age have a greater chance of premarital sex.
I believe teenagers should begin with group dating.
I believe teenagers should set boundaries on physical affection. They should never arouse sexual feelings by the way they touch or kiss each other.
I believe teenagers should date those who share their spiritual values.
I believe teenagers need to be open and accountable to their parents as to who they are dating, where they are going, and what time they will be back.
I hope that helps you. Blessings, Pastor Tim

Thanks Pastor.

I talked to my wife about the makeup question. Here are some of the things she said.
She allowed our daughter to begin wearing makeup when she turned 13. She felt since she was a teenager it would be appropriate.
She allowed our daughter to wear lipstick, blush, and mascara.
I'm not sure if that helps, but that is all I got on the subject.

Teen Dating
Thanks Pastor - Perfect timing!
I've been talking about this a great deal lately with other Moms and all have such different views...yet we all want the same thing - for our kids to find God pleasing spouses.
Having teenagers is scary, it helps to have your guidance. We are also very grateful for Pastor Jake and his strong spiritual influence over our son, Gunther.
Parents are Watchmen
Parents are Old Testament Watchmen on the Wall of the city.
We are to be alert to the attack of the enemy.
We are to sound the alarm if the enemy is approaching.
We are never to sleep or slumber.
We are to guard and protect the children.
God had strong words to say to watchmen who weren't faithful. He referred to them as sleeping dogs and dogs that won't bark. I believe parents need to bark when they see danger.
Bark: Who are you going out with?
Bark: What time will you be back?
Bark: Where are you going tonight?
Bark: Does this person know the Lord?
Bark: This is your curfew. Don't be late.
As parents, we have God-given authority to watch over our children. Let's use it. Don't be afraid to talk to them, correct them, and challenge them. Don't be afraid to say "NO".
Don't be a dog that sleeps or refuses to bark. Sound the Alarm! Fight for your sons and daughters!
