Precious Prayer Promises

Let's take a look at this great Psalm.

Psalm 20
For the choir director: A psalm of David.
1 In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.
May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.
2 May he send you help from his sanctuary
and strengthen you from Jerusalem.[a]
3 May he remember all your gifts
and look favorably on your burnt offerings.
Interlude

4 May he grant your heart’s desires
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory
and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the Lord answer all your prayers.

As you can see there are great promises in this Psalm.

May God answer your cry.
May God keep you safe.
May God send you help.
May God strengthen you.
May God receive your offering of worship.
May God grant your heart's desires.
May God enable all your plans to succeed.
May God give you victory.
May God answer all your prayers.

I felt like God quickened Psalm 20 to my heart this morning. I hope it encourages you as you pray and fast.

Blessings, Pastor Tim

Dating

Hi Pastor Tim,

That was excellent how you addressed sexuality yesterday.

Would you give some guidlines about dating? I have 5 kids who will eventually get married. When should dating occur? How should dating occur?

My thoughts are that dating should be reserved for people who already have serious thoughts about getting married and are of marrying age. I am concerned that if dating occurs too early in a relationship that passion will be ignited and they people won't know if God wants them together or not. It's easy to get passionate about anyone nearby and good looking.
